With LUCIFER one of the latest comic book-based TV shows in development, Deadline is reporting that CHICAGO FIRE’s Lauren German has nabbed the female lead in the show.

Plot-wise, the show will focus on the titular Lucifer as he becomes bored will Hell and so gives up his throne and moves to Los Angeles. When in LA, he’ll help the LAPD punish criminals. German will be playing the role of Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who finds herself “repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer” as she works alongside him to solve murders. As for Lucifer himself, it’s already been announced that Tom Ellis has landed that role.

LUCIFER is just one more to add to the DC-based shows out there or in development, including ARROW, THE FLASH, GOTHAM, iZOMBIE, SUPERGIRL, KRYPTON and TITANS. Then there’s CONSTANTINE, not to mention the current and upcoming Marvel TV and Netflix shows.
