CBS’ SUPERGIRL is certainly starting to get some momentum lately, with new cast members being announced on a regular basis. Today brings confirmation on two further new additions.

The two newbies are HOMELAND’s David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and GREY’S ANATOMY’s Chyler Leigh as Alexandra Danvers. Comic book fans will recognise Henshaw as the man who eventually becomes the villainous Cyborg Superman, whilst Alex Danvers is the foster sister of the titular Supergirl.

In SUPERGIRL, Hank Henshaw will be a one-time CIA agent who now runs the Department of Extra-Normal Operations. As for Alex Danvers, she will be a doctor who has been inspired by the powers of Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.

These two now additions join a cast that includes Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Luca Benanti as Alura Zor-El, and Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant.
