Along with the news of The CW’s revival of ‘80s horror anthology series TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE this week comes more news that the network has commissioned yet another high-concept genre pilot.

Touted as an action-adventure mystery drama, CHEERLEADER DEATH SQUAD has sprung from the collective minds of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and DEVIOUS MAIDS creator/executive producer Marc Cherry, UNDER THE DOME showrunner Neal Baer, and BLUE BLOODS executive producer Dan Truly.

The show will focusing on the exploits of a disgraced former CIA Agent-turned-teacher at a Washington, D.C. prep school as he trains a few select pupils in the art of international espionage, which he hopes will help him back into the agency’s good books. The show has been described as “HEATHERS meets ALIAS.“
