Ever since it was announced that TNT was developing a live-action Teen Titans show, simply called TITANS, we’ve been waiting to hear confirmation on just who will be making up the titular team. We knew that Dick Grayson as Nightwing would be leading the charge, but that was it. Now we’ve got word on just which heroes will be appearing.

Nerdist is reporting that the team will be made up of Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Hawk, Dove, Raven, and Starfire. What’s interesting about this is that Barbara Gordon has never actually been a member of the comic book Teen Titans, and the two most notable absences are Beast Boy and Cyborg. Cyborg’s omission doesn’t surprise us given how he’s set for a big screen future in the DC Cinematic Universe, with Ray Fisher confirmed to play Victor Stone in several movies.

Additionally, Dick will begin the pilot episode as Robin before he transitions to the Nightwing moniker. As for Babs, she will be wheelchair-bound but will not be going by the Orcale title just yet. Hawk will be the Hank Hall version of the character, whilst Dawn Granger will be Dove – the pair will be a romantic pairing.

Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes are penning the TITANS pilot episode at present, with production expected to start later this year. Personally, we’re just super excited at the prospect of a live-action Dick Grayson getting some time to shine.
