Quoting Whitney Scott Bain:
My guess is its Bond's "brother" who is head of SPECTRE.

That was the "twist" at the end of the Austin Powers film "Goldmember". Why can't we have a ruthless efficient Bond who is not bogged down with tragic backstory any more?

Quoting Paul Mount:
Skyfall was indeed excellent...but that was three years ago. Time to let Bond drop the angst now and become the larger-than-life superspy again. He's in danger of being outclassed by the likes of Ethan Hunt. There's nothing bitchy about pointing out that Bond films have always been defined by their spectacle - and there's no sign of it here. I''m all for "surprise's" too but some hint of a punch-up or a car chase might least have served to remind us we're watching Bond and some not some dreary Cold War spy thriller .

I'm all for suprise's instead having all the good bit's just being dropped infront of our eye's. It's called characterisatio n, which modern Bond should be about, not just explosions.. Skyfall was excellent, if you feel that bitchy, then don't bother watching the film when it comes out.

So let me get this right...the first trailer from the latest instalment of the most successful, best-loved ACTION film series in the world features...lots of people talking. About not very interesting stuff. I'm sure they don't want to spoil the surprises in store but seriously? Compare this to the recent trailers for the new Mission Impossible film and there's just no comparison. Hopes for a standalone out-there Bond adventure where Bond is just being Bond have just been shot right out of the water. They might as well have just called this 'Skyfall Part 2' by the looks of this drab trailer.
