News: Asimov's THE CAVES OF STEEL Getting Feature Film Treatment

Written by Animal Johns Friday, 23 September 2011

Movie News

20th Century Fox have revealed they are developing an adaptation of the celebrated sci-fi author Isaac Asimov's 1954 detective novel THE CAVES OF STEEL.

Previous attempts at bringing Asimov's stories to the big-screen have been patchy, with the Robin William's vehicle BICENTENIAL MAN being met with universal derision, and I ROBOT proving profitable, but garnering much the same response from critics.

We can only hope the team producer Simon Kinberg (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS), writer John Scott III and debut director Henry Hobson will do the source material justice.

Details are understandably thin on the ground at this early stage of development, but we'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Which of Asimov's stories would you like to see on the big screen? Let us know in the Comments below or on Twitter @Starburst_Mag
