* After all the hubbub regarding the alterations this week, several online fans have decided to organize a boycott of the STAR WARS Blu-ray releases. Will you be joining them? (Personally I’m going to wait about three months when it drops to £30. That’ll show ‘im!)
* And while we’re on the subject, this speech Lucas made to congress in 1988 makes for hilarious reading following his behavior over the last decade or so.
* Uwe Boll fans (or should that be singular?) rejoice! His new film has been announced! And shock horror – it’s a videogame adaptation! This time it’s the turn of ZOMBIE MASSACRE from 1998 (nope, me neither). The only bright side to all this – Boll’s only on producing detail this time around. Feast your eyes on the super crappy poster below! ‘There Is No Hope’ indeed. Of me ever seeing this.

* RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, now THAT’S a zombie film. And I for one cannot wait to see this, a Definitive Retrospective of the 1985 horror comedy classic called MORE BRAINS! Here’s the trailer…

* And in one last piece of zombie-related news (promise), eyebrows have been raised over AMC’s decision to greenlight a talk-show based on THE WALKED DEAD TV series. In the UK however, we’ve already grown accustomed to this kind of thing what with similar formatted shows based around DR WHO, LOST, and 24. All of which are unwatchable. Will THE TALKING DEAD (that's a gift from me, AMC) be any different from those other shows?
* DC Comics controversial reboot has apparently gone down a storm with fans, with JUSTICLE LEAGUE #1 now in its second printing, and ACTION COMICS #1 & BATGIRL #1 already selling out. Before they’ve even hit stores. Has the gamble paid off for DC? We’d advise DiDio and co to hold off on the champagne for a few months yet…
* Meanwhile… Over at the House of Ideas, we have our first shot of THE AVENGERS assembling for the first time! (note: that's Tony Stark with his back to us) Though we think Thor might have missed the memo about remaining inconspicuous…

* Regarding next year’s biggest movie (unless the curse of Whedon derails it), Stellan Skarsgard, who reprises Dr. Eric Selvig, has spilt a bean or two regarding the hitherto top secret plot. [Skip past if you want to remain unspoiled] “Wth the scene we did in 'Thor,' it was like Loki, one way or the other, entered Eric’s mind. And in 'Avengers,' you will see more clarity in how Loki is using Eric’s mind." Told you it was only a bean’s worth, but interesting to get THOR’s somewhat confusing post-credit sequence cleared up.
* Here’s the new trailer for Lars von Trier’s new sci-fi drama MELANCHOLIA. Hope he’s got all that ‘chaos reigns’ nonsense out of his system, because this looks pretty incredible!

* While director David Lynch is busy designing nightclubs in Paris (Club Silencio opened its doors this week), making his own brand of coffee, and preparing for the release of his debut album CRAZY CLOWN TIME, his daughter Jennifer is actually still making movies! Her latest, CHAINED, tells the story of a young boy who’s kidnapped and raised by a serial killer. Boy do I hope it’s better than her last movie, the still unreleased 'Bollywood' horror HISSS (a rare review of which can be listened to on this episode of Starburst Radio!)
* Mark Bomback, the writer behind such classic movies as UNSTOPPABLE, LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, and RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, has been brought in to re-write THE WOLVERINE screenplay by that hack Christopher McQuarrie. Apparently he wrote something called THE USUAL SUSPECTS. Seriously though, I’m losing faith in this film more with each passing week.
* Did someone say DIE HARD? The director of the fifth entry in the series has now been officially crowned. Step forward John Moore, director of… MAX PAYNE and THE OMEN remake. Oh. Actually, is Len Wiseman still available?
* Anyone speak Norwegian? Can you do us a favour and tell us if this un-subtitled international trailer for new horror film BABYCALL is as good as it looks? Cheers.

* Aaaaand finally! DON’T PANIC, READERS! NASA has spoken out about this week’s horror flick APOLLO 18. Taking time out from all that space gubbins they do down there, NASA media liaison Bert Ulrich said “It’s not a documentary. The film is a work of fiction, and we always knew that”. We should bloody well hope so, NASA - thanks for clearing that up! Next week, Mayor of New York City reveals that the Cloverfield monster attack never happened!!!
