TV News: Russell T. Davies Announces New Genre Show...

Written by Kris Heys Monday, 23 January 2012

TV News

Back in December we gave you the heads-up on a potential new show by the revered Russell T. Davies, and today it's finally been made official - get ready for... ALIENS VS. WIZARDS.

Sure, the rather uninspiring title reveals it's to be aimed squarely at a more SARAH JANE ADVENTURES type crowd, but how could we not be interested in a project by the man responsible for bringing the world new Who.

ALIENS VS. WIZARDS will tell the tale of a pair of teenagers, one a wizard, the other his braniac best mate, who are out to thwart a secret alien invasion.

The series will again be produced by BBC Wales, and will reunite Davies with SARAH JANE producer/writer Phil Ford, who co-created.

ALIENS VS. WIZARDS will hit TV screens this August. On CBBC natch.

Why doesn't he just go back and save Dr Who from The Moff? (Hey, we're ALL thinking it!)
