Here we are again. Another Lego set based upon a childhood iconic spacecraft, and I instantly nominate myself to give it the review once over.
Now I was excited by the picture on the box. Very excited. Fond memories of my Palitoy Falcon, and hiding Han underneath the floor panel whilst Stormtroopers were having a mooch around. It never got old. I did let them find him once though, and that did not end very well. Messy business to be honest. With regards to this Lego Falcon, however, the best was yet to come...

When you have spent the huge amount of time in putting it together (Yes this is indeed 'gourmet Lego', and very complex), you find that it has all of the living quarters for your Lego Cast to kick back and play 'Holo Chess'.
Whether you let the Wookie win is your prerogative, but you can do what you want. Perhaps the holo chess characters can malfunction and kill everyone. That would be good. No one would see that coming.
Have a look at it here, and tell me you don't want to start messing around with it right now. I will let the pictures explain the rest. It is every bit as good as it looks. If you are having problems financially due to the current downturn in the economy, I still think you should do without food and toiletries, and buy this. It's all you need.
You can pre-order it now from Forbidden Planet Ltd for the September 30th release. Price £125.99 (Yeah I know it's dear, but whip out that credit card with wild abandon, s'brilliant)
