DC WONDER WOMAN ULTIMATE STICKER COLLECTION

It must be tough being a pop-culture icon. Everyone in the world will want a piece of you, and of course all it would take is a single misstep and it could all go horribly wrong. Luckily for Wonder Woman, she’s entirely fictional. Thus there aren’t hordes of tabloid reporters trying to besmirch the Amazon’s good name nor is social media filled with people taking candid photos of the lasso-slinging hero. Thus she is allowed to remain an inspiration to us all.

And it’s a good job too, as there’s a scarcity of good female superheroes in the world. Every set of legends needs tales about strong women, after all. Of course those stories need to be accessible to small children, and what’s more fun than a sticker book?

The DC Wonder Woman Ultimate Sticker Collection does exactly what it says on the tin; it’s full of stickers. Over a 1,000 of the things. Give these to a beloved small child; turn your back for about five minutes and zap! Kapow! Your living room will be covered in stickers. Most of them are tiny, which is perfect for small hands. They’re big enough to get everywhere and small enough to use in mosaics, arts, crafts and so on. They’re pretty, funny, clever and nice enough. They’re also all in the DC52 style; there’s no retro take on the character here. Everything is on brand for the new spin on Wonder Woman, presumably in preparation for the upcoming movie.

The front of the book is filled with facts about Wonder Woman. You can carefully place your stickers in the place prompted as you learn about Wonder Woman’s latest origin story. This is tied to the Greek Myths, so at a pinch you could claim that the whole thing is inspirational.  Except it isn’t really, but probably close enough to satisfy moral guardians.

The book is large and durable. The stickers are unlikely to ruin your furnishings and can be easily peeled off. Excitable hands should be able to remove them from the pages of the book if they place them in the wrong place. It’s a fun thing, and great addition to anyone’s arsenal of tools to defeat the rainy day blues.
