Ernie Hudson Not Keen on Rebooted GHOSTBUSTERS Idea

Now that it’s finally been confirmed that the new GHOSTBUSTERS movie will be an all-female reboot, we’re not sure how to feel. One person that definitely knows what side of the fence they’re on is Eddie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddemore in first two GB films. Speaking to The Telegraph, Hudson, who also appeared in THE CROW, doesn’t seem particularly sold on this new movie.

When asked about this new GHOSTBUSTERS movie, the actor said, “I heard it was going to be a total reboot, and that it would have nothing to do with the other two movies. If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it’s all-female, then why are you calling it GHOSTBUSTERS?”

He added, “I love females. I hope that if they go that way at least they’ll be funny, and if they’re not funny at least hopefully it’ll be sexy. I love the idea of including women, I think it’s great. But all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don’t think the fans want to see that. Maybe it will come out and be the most amazing thing, but in my opinion I think it would be wrong to do another movie that didn’t include the guys. And that didn’t include me!”

Whilst the announcement of a new GHOSTBUSTERS film has received a mixed response (to say the least) from fans of the series, it appears that Hudson is none too keen on the idea. Still, director Paul Feig has said how he’d love for any of the original team to cameo in this new film, so we'll see how that pans out.
