So Kevin Smith’s YOGA HOSERS will star Harley Quinn Smith, Lily-Rose Depp and Johnny Depp, right? We know this. Now comes word, though, that the film will also feature arguably the most famous name in comic book history. Yes, Stan “The Man” Lee has been confirmed by Smith as appearing in the movie.

Taking to his Twitter account, Smith revealed, “20 years ago I got a chance to direct @TheRealStanLee in MALLRATS. Last night, I got to do it again for @YogaHosers!” Accompanying the message was the below image:

As Smith alluded to, he also worked with Stan Lee in a memorable cameo in his massively underrated 1995 cult classic, MALLRATS, plus the duo teamed up for STAN LEE'S MUTANTS, MONSTERS & MARVELS amongst other things. Whether Lee has a larger role this time out has not been confirmed, but we’re guessing it’s just a small role in Kev’s upcoming effort.

Whilst walrus-heavy horror TUSK is Smith's next movie to see release, YOGA HOSERS will be second in a trilogy of Canadian-based movies for the writer/director. YOGA HOSERS has been described by Smith as a comic book movie, starring the daughters of both Smith and Depp as two teenagers with part-time jobs that have to go to battle with an ancient evil that threatens to destroy their world… and their prom. Johnny Depp will reprise his role of Guy Lapointe from TUSK.

Additionally, YOGA HOSERS will also feature the Ralph Garman, Justin Long, Harley Morenstein, Haley Joel Osment, Gensis Rodriguez, Jennifer Schwalbacj, Adam Brody, Austin Butler, Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Tyler Posey, Jason Mewes and the always fantastic Michael Parks.

The film will be released next year, likely toured by Smith in a similar way to RED STATE, JAY & SILENT BOB’S SUPER GROOVY CARTOON MOVIE and the upcoming TUSK.
