WB's AQUAMAN Movie Gets Dual Scripts

To ensure the best possible script for the stand-alone AQUAMAN film, Warner Bros has hired two screenwriters to pen separate scripts. Will Beal (GANGSTER SQUAD) and Kurt Johnstad (300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE) will both put their spin on the aquatic superhero for DC’s cinematic universe, following last year’s MAN OF STEEL and the upcoming BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.

Using the dual tracks method, studios are also able to set release dates while the project is still in development, allowing it to build momentum and hype, especially following Warner Bros' recent spate of films dated between 2016 and 2020. The studio hasn’t yet revealed which of those will be AQUAMAN.

Although not officially cast, GAME OF THRONES’ star Jason Momoa is widely believed to don the fork and fins. More details as they surface.
