Everybody knows that the best period dramas are the kind that feature swords and flintlocks, and over in STARBURST Towers we’ve been keenly anticipating muskets and mayhem movie FALLEN SOLDIERS for some time, and the trailer has made us even more keen to see the whole thing.

FALLEN SOLDIERS is a low budget, special effect heavy mystery-thriller that centres on the outbreak of a gruesome disease during the Napoleonic War. Featuring plenty of gunpowder, explosions and of course, zombies. Basically, it’s SHARPE versus the undead, though it doesn’t feature Sean Bean; he’d only die anyway.

For a super low-budget horror movie, it looks great. Director and producer Bill Thomas told STARBURST MAGAZINE, “In the absence of a budget we looked at what was available to us, imagination, creativity, talented assistance, and bloody-minded determination – and we went out and made a film.

The movie is currently seeking distribution and fingers crossed it’ll be coming to a movie festival soon. Take a look at the trailer below and decide for yourself.

Looks better than Pride and Prejudice & Zombies, certainly.
