KEVIN SMITH Unveils Plans for New Trilogy

Movie News

During his recent visit to SDCC, Kevin Smith was a leaking vessel ready to scramble the minds of his adoring fans. 'The True North Trilogy' as he's named it, is the three-strong saga that the writer/director hopes to complete, with TUSK being the first entry. YOGA HOSERS and MOOSE JAWS WILL follow soon after, the former of which he plans to potentially release next year! These are quick turnarounds to say the least, 'slow and steady' clearly doesn't win the race in the Smith household it seems.

The filmmaker has revealed that all three segments of the trilogy will feature the same actors, which will therefore include Justin Long, Hayley Joel Osment, Michael Parks and who knows maybe even Edwards Scissorhands (or Johnny Depp as some of you may call him). Plot details are relatively translucent, with MOOSE JAWS being described as "Like JAWS… only with a moose" and YOGA HOSERS following the lives of two teenage girls who either battle those with super-powers, or actually harbour them.

Beneath the Marvel machine, Kevin Smith is lurking equipped with Canadian mythology and walrus-inspired creations. Watch out world, this guy is literally redefining the word ANTHROPOMORPHISM.

'The True North Trilogy' begins on 19th September this year, with TUSK. If you haven't already, watch the trailer HERE.
