X-MEN vs JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Possible?

Movie News

Now this is all ‘ifs’ and ‘maybes’ for now, but if this all comes off then it opens up the possibility of an X-Men and Justice League crossover movie, amongst other things.

The NY Times is reporting that 20th Century Fox, the cinematic home of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, has made a bid of $80 billion for Time Warner, the company that owns, amongst others, Warner Brothers and DC Comics. Now the initial bid has been rejected by Time Warner, but Fox are planning to go back in with another bid shortly.

This is all looking a long way down the line, but if Fox were successful in this acquisition, that opens up a whole host of opportunities for the characters that they would now have at their disposal. Still, would you rather see Wolverine up against Batman or would you rather Logan get into some fisticuffs with Captain America in an Avengers tie-in? Either way, Marvel Studios and Disney, who hold the cinematic rights for The Avengers, surely wouldn’t be too happy knowing that Fox could pair the X-verse up with the DC cinematic world. Still, it’s likely at a point right now where Marvel Studios probably couldn’t give a toss, y’know, seeing as their movies are falling over themselves to bring in the mega-bucks at the box office.

Expect more on this as it develops.
