POWER RANGERS may have been one of your lesser-loved childhood favourites, certainly compared with TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES or the lovingly animated Marvel series, but twinges of excitement (and cynicism) were felt when a big-budget film re-imagining the show was announced, courtesy of Lionsgate.
