Love Sick

The first promo image has been released from LOVE SICK, the feature-length expansion of Todd E. Freeman's short M IS FOR MARRIAGE, which was created for the contest to find the 26th director for THE ABCS OF DEATH 2.

Love Sick

Filming begins later this year, but the cast list is looking mightily impressive. Joining Tristan Risk (AMERICAN MARY) and Francisco Barrerio (HERE COMES THE DEVIL) - the healthy-looking pair in the photo, are several other famous genre actors. Bill Moseley (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS), Barbara Crampton (RE-ANIMATOR), Augie Duke (BAD KIDS GO TO HELL), Andrew Sensenig (UPSTREAM COLOR), Ruben Pla (CONTRACTED) and Camden Toy (who was usually under a load of make up in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) are all on board

Director Freeman (CELL COUNT) said, "LOVE SICK is the story of Rebecca and Marcus, who have been together for 10 years and after much deliberation have decided to part ways. After separating and being with others, they quickly realise how hard it is to disconnect from one another. The pain, lies, and betrayal all begin to manifest physically within the both of them as well as infect the others who have become involved with intimately. They love each other so much that it hurts... some more than others."

Production Company, Polluted Pictures will be presenting the project at the Frontières International Co-Production Market, which takes place during the Industry Rendez-Vous of the Fantasia International Film Festival at the end of July. Freeman elaborates on this presentation, "we knew that we had a unique opportunity to communicate our vision for the film to so many international genre sales agents, co-producers, and distributors all at one time. We've put together an amazing pitch book filled with photos of our leads in character as well as concept and key art from some of the most amazing professionals in the world. It's pretty hard to not be extremely excited about where we are at with the project."

We look forward to hearing more later this year. In the meantime, check out the original awesome short below.
