Movie News

Though He-man has passed rather quietly into the annuls of geekdom (merchandising aside), with fleeting references in pop culture from Family Guy to Hot Fuzz, it’d be hard to deny the buzz forming around the planned Masters of the Universe silver screen adaption. Good news then, it now seems closer than ever.

Jeff Wadlow, director of the 2013 stinker Kick-Ass 2, has recently closed a deal to re-write Masters of the Universe for Sony Pictures and Escape Artists. Jon M. Chu has been previously attached to direct the reboot (but ditched it for rival ‘80s property, Jem and the Holograms), with a script originally written by Terry Russo, the pen behind The Lone Ranger.
