Movie News

Earlier this week, Toby Kebbell was cast as Victor von Doom in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming THE FANTASTIC FOUR. Now comes word, via Nerdist, that Doctor Doom will be bringing his Doombots along with him. These will be used as drones and decoys that will be controlled telekinetically.

The Doombots made their first appearance back in 1962’s FANTASTIC FOUR #5. Exact replicas of Doc Doom, the bots are often used as stand-ins to cause confusion in Doom’s fights against the heroes of the Marvel world. Over the years, the Doombots have helped the good Doctor escape many a sticky situation.

As well as Kebbell as Victor von Doom, this FF reboot will also feature Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Directed by Josh Trank, THE FANTASTIC FOUR is currently set for a 19th June, 2015 release.
