Movie News: TERMINATOR: GENESIS Casts Dyson Role

Movie News

Recently tipped to go to Attack the Block’s John Boyega, the key role of one Danny Dyson has been snagged by competitor Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games). The character will play the son of Miles Dyson, who, when we met him in Terminator 2, sacrificed himself to destroy the company he created and prevent it from from eventually leading to a robot revolution. Suffice to say, it didn’t work, prevented diddly and Skynet went online 5:18 pm Eastern Time on July 25th, 2004, screwing us all. Poor sod.

Dayo Okeniyi, caught candidly mid-ponder.

As for this guy, smarts run in the family it seems, with Danny reportedly playing a “Steve Jobs type” egghead that “holds the key to technology development that makes Skynet possible.” So… exactly like Judgement Day then? Consider us confused.

As we all know by know, Game of Thrones’ Alan Taylor will direct, with Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons and some bloke called Arnold Schwarzenegger heading up the cast.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS, the first of the new trilogy, opens July 1st, 2015
