Movie News

For those of us dying to learn who the female lead in Edgar Wright’s ANT-MAN will be, a report by Variety has revealed the current front-runner is everyone's favourite dwarf-loving, orc killing, island stranded criminal...

Evangeline Lilly

The details regarding the character Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright may have written in to the script are tenuous, but that doesn’t stop overly confident reports. Variety have suggested that the character will be Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) love interest and Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) daughter.

Lilly has only recently begun to gain recognition since her starring role in the TV series LOST, with her most recent role being Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG. Whether she’ll make the transition to damsel in distress in ANT-MAN or possibly even play The Wasp (fingers crossed), we’ll have to await official confirmation from Marvel Studios. Stay tuned for updates.

Edgar Wright is expected to begin filming in April this year, with ANT-MAN released July 17th, 2015.
