Movie News: Plot Revealed for FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot?

Movie News

With the earlier news that Miles Teller is still one of the names being considered for Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Josh Trank’s FANTASTIC FOUR reboot, now comes word on the plot of the movie. A casting call has been put out via Acting-Auditions that gives a brief synopsis on what is being planned for the FF retelling.

Said synopsis says:

*** SORRY FOLKS, SYNOPSIS REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF 20TH CENTURY FOX ***

Whilst Teller and GAME OF THRONES duo Richard Madden and Kit Harington are said to be up for the Reed Richards role, Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are up for Sue Storm and Michael B. Jordan has apparently already snagged the Johnny Storm gig, the casting call is looking for all sorts of roles. One notable exception, though, is Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, prompting speculation that that particular character will be purely CGI.

So, added to what Teller has recently said, at the moment is sounds like the FF team will be very, very young, the iconic blue suits are going to be shelved, Reed Richards will become a scientific genius via an accident, Mr. Fantastic and The Thing will be government lackeys, and Sue and Johnny will come into things at a later stage in the movie. Wow – not cool, man. Not. Cool. Let's hope that at least some of this proves not to be true.

Casting is expected imminently, as FANTASTIC FOUR is looking to start shooting on 24th March in Louisiana, with a 19th June, 2015 release date currently planned.

Oh dear. They're basing this on the Ultimate universe comics. This will not end well.

This sounds absolutely awful. Just skip it, please!! Hasn't this team suffered enough abuse at the hands of Hollywood?

Sounds horrific. Why? If they don't want to make a FF movie then don't. Upsetting the fans (because it will) is not the best way of ensuring its success. Total disater written all over it and they haven't even finished casting it yet. Genius.

While I agree wholeheartedly with Arrow being brilliant, I wish CW would let Supernatural just die as dignified a death as the shadow of what it once was will currently allow.

Sounds about right, although The CW has been knocking it out of the park with Arrow lately.

If this was a TV show it sounds like something the CW would make.
