Movie News

First, let's get our rumour hats on, because as ever, nothing is confirmed officially. However, it is indeed reported that Johnny Depp has been in talks with Marvel Studios for the role of Dr. Strange. The star will potentially join the Phase Three cycle of movies, taking place after the events of 2015’s AVENGERS: THE AGE OF ULTRON.

Marvel Studios already has some massive names in their films, including yesterday’s ANT-MAN announcement of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, but Johnny Depp may be the biggest name in Hollywood. Depp is famous for outlandish roles and is comic fan, so Dr. Stephen Strange is right up his street.

It’s expected that Marvel Studios will set the release date for DR. STRANGE for May 6th, 2016, one of the release dates they set for upcoming projects last year.
