Movie News

Scott Derrickson’s follow-up movie to 2012’s SINISTER underwent a name change recently, switching from BEWARE THE NIGHT to DELIVER US FROM EVIL (we’re still not sure which we prefer). Since all we've had to go on previously is the unofficial log-line "SERPICO meets THE EXORCIST," it's good to finally see the release of the supernatural thriller’s official synopsis and first images. We're looking forward to this...

Official Synopsis:

In DELIVER US FROM EVIL, New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. Based upon the book, which details Sarchie's bone-chilling real-life cases.

DELIVER US FROM EVIL opens in UK cinemas August 22nd.
