Movie News

Ever since we first heard rumblings that Disney were to deliver not only new STAR WARS movies in the Episode canon, but would also be branching out to standalone films focusing on individual character’s adventures in the Galaxy far far away, fans have pondered who they’d like to see get their own flick first. And though much of his original mystique was removed once we met his younger self in ATTACK OF THE CLONES, it seems we’re all still chomping at the bit to see more of the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Well, if today’s news proves true, a lot of STAR WARS fans are going to very happy indeed, as METALOCALYPSE creator Jon Schnepp claims to know exactly who one of the spin-off movies will focus on. Talking on a recent charity episode of AMC Movie Talk, the filmmaker revealed “One of them is Boba Fett. It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.”

Do you believe Schnepp? Despite the fact he delivers this bombshell in between munching on a microwave meal, he certainly looks serious. Check it out around the 4-minute mark in the player below and see what you think…

Considering the first spin-off movie is unofficially scheduled for 2016, expect some concrete news very soon.
