With Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, there’s been recent speculation linking a whole host of actors to a whole host of DC characters. One rumour that keeps rearing its head is that LOST’s Josh Holloway is up for the role of Aquaman. Speaking to IGN, the actor has been addressing this recent chatter. Whilst he claims to have not had any talks, he certainly seems open to the idea.

On whether DC and Warner Bros. have asked for talks, Holloway revealed, “It hasn’t been brought to my attention by my people. So maybe they’re just floating it softly around, but that would be cool. Sure, I think I’m available at the moment as we just wrapped up. I’m an actor, I like different roles. Batman movies are awesome, Marvel movies are awesome. But we’ll see. I’m on a series right now. I think they usually want to sign you up for several movies and I don’t know if you can do that when you’re committed to a series.”

The series that Holloway’s referring to is CBS’ INTELLIGENCE, which has recently debuted to strong ratings. With Aquaman suggested to appear in Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL sequel and the long-discussed JUSTICE LEAGUE, any deal for such as role would require a multi-picture deal.

This isn’t the first time that Holloway has been linked to a comic book character, having been a long-time fan favourite to play Gambit in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men world. That role, of course, was last played by Taylor Kitsch in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.

So, would you like to see Holloway taking on the role of the King of Atlantis?
