Movie News

Deadline is reporting that Jason Clarke is currently in talks for the role of the saviour of mankind, John Connor, in Alan Taylor's upcoming TERMINATOR reboot. Clarke is best known for his appearance in the brilliant ZERO DARK THIRTY.

As for the rest of the cast, reports claim that GAME OF THRONES' Emilia Clarke and 21 JUMP STREET's Brie Larson are the current front-runners for the part of Sarah Connor, whilst TRON: LEGACY's Garrett Hedlund is said to be the favourite to land the Kyle Rees gig. Given Jason Clarke's age in comparison to the likes of Emilia Clarke, Larson and Hedlund, it's safe to say there's more time-travel confusion to come.

Rumoured to be titled TERMINATOR: GENESIS, this reboot will be the first part of a standalone trilogy and is currently scheduled for a 2nd July, 2015 release.

Expect more on this as it develops.
