Movie News: Will Terry Gilliam Kill Don Quixote for Real this Time?

Movie News

Terry Gilliam is to once again attempt to bring his screenplay The Man Who Killed Don Quixote to the big screen, despite the fact that the last time he tried to it kicked his ass so badly, the ‘DVD Making Of’ ended up capturing so many trials and tribulations it became a fully-fledged feature itself! The (excellent) documentary, Lost in La Mancha, caught every curveball thrown at Gilliam – including flash floods and injured stars – until the filmmaker had to throw in the towel at great cost. But turns out that post-The Zero Theorem, Gilliam’s willing to have another crack:

"I'm going to try to do 'Don Quixote' again,” he recently told ComingSoon.net, “I think this is the seventh time. Lucky seven, maybe. We'll see if it happens. This is kind of my default position, going back to that. I actually just want to make it and get rid of it. Get it out of my life.”

Will Gilliam be successful, or will we be getting Lost in La Mancha 2?

The Zero Theorem awaits a solid release date, but we should expect it sometime next year.
