Movie News

Delicacy is a new horror short film from Huntsman Films and up-and-coming North West filmmakers. The film is written and will be directed by Helen Curran. As a director Helen has a fascination for the macabre. Her first short film, the supernatural horror tale Gone, has just had its first public screening and is currently being entered into festivals. You can view her past work here or

Delicacy is a horror / thriller set during WWII. Severely injured Sergeant Thompson is at the mercy of inexperienced Lance Corporal Barnes after they find themselves trapped in a church cellar during the retreat to Dunkirk during 1940. Without resources or food, both must survive long enough until Barnes can dig them out…

The project is currently in pre-production with principle photography beginning in early December. Their pledge is for £500 and they have concept art, posters, film credits and an invite to the premiere on offer for helping them fund the project. Check out their Kickstarter page here...
