Movie News

After the film’s official poster was released yesterday, we now get more visual insight into Winter Soldier with two new images from the film, courtesy of USA Today. Though these are relatively simple, lacking any explosions, antagonist or Cap bashing, we do get an understanding that things are going down. Whether it is the serious face of Nick Fury (what are he and Cap looking at?), or the aftermath of a seemingly nasty security guard battle royal, the sequel certainly looks to have the America back in business and with his, now established, new threads. Winter Soldier runs, shield up, into the 2014 schedules on April 4th, so expect to see more oncoming info on America’s favourite patriot as we move into the breezy season.

Official Synopsis:

“After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER finds Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, DC and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.

Joining forces with the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon (Anthony Mackie). However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).”
