Movie News: Casting Begins on DEAD SNOW Sequel

Movie News

In his first gig since the financially successful but oft-derided HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, director Tommy Wirkola is returning to the movie that got Hollywood’s attention in the first place: his 2009 Nazi Zombie debut, DEAD SNOW. The sequel, now subtitled RED VS. DEAD, has announced its first members of the cast, and it looks like Wirkola and crew are aiming to make the movie more palatable to western audiences who can’t bear to read subtitles by throwing some US actors into the mix, namely Martin Starr (THIS IS THE END), Ingrid Haas (SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD) and Jocelyn Deboer (erm…).

Plot-wise, we can expect it to continue where the original left off, with its one surviving character, Martin (Vegar Hoel), encountering the above trio who belong to a group of US zombie hunters. Expect more details to hit as the film gears up for principal photography and a 2014 release.

Such a great comment, it needed saying twice. Apparently.

Hmmm. Another entirely-unnecessary sequel.
