News: The Ghost of Whitstable’s Most Famous Citizen?

Ghost stories from The Daily Mail are not usually Starburst material. After all, they’re obviously not true for several reasons (that aren’t necessarily to do with the non-existence of ghosts). However, we can’t resist this one...

When spectral bags of Earl Grey tea start spooking-out customers in a Whitstable shop, only one culprit springs to mind. Peter Cushing was Whitstable’s most famous citizen, 2013 is his centenary and we’re certain he drank a lot of tea. Looks like Peter is belatedly celebrating with a bit of ghostly tomfoolery. With that trademark good humour, it looks like he’s still the greatest of all English gentlemen.
