Despite the lacklustre response to INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, Harrison Ford is apparently keen to put on the fedora for a fifth instalment.

Speaking to Hitfix, Ford said, “I would be happy to do another. If we came up with a good script, I’d be happy to do it.”

Ford, now 71 years old, also has STAR WARS: EPISODE VII on his plate for a 2015 release, then there’s constant talk of a BLADE RUNNER sequel.

In terms of INDIANA JONES, despite fans and critics being generally down on the last film, it grossed nearly $800 million from a $185 million budget...

There's actually a 'lot' of KOTCS fans here at Starburst, which is why we always avoid going the easy route and slagging the movie off. But we do have to accept that the vast majority of cinemagoers 'did' despise the film, as the article states. It's just a sad fact us continued Indy fans must learn to accept.

I’m not certain what the criteria for being a fan is, but surely its huge success says that a lot of fans didn’t mind “Crystal Skulls” at all…?
To decry the film in this way is to demand the worst sort of fan-boy orthodoxy - if you liked “Skulls” you can’t *actually* be a *true* fan. I’ve sees similar things from a ST fan, saying that the popularity of the JJ Abrams films is evidence that he had totally misunderstood the concept, and *ruined* the franchise, which would topple under the weight of non-believers like him…
So *some* Indy fans disliked the last movie, but many many people must have liked it…
