News: Ghost Rider 2 is Definitely NOT a Sequel??

Movie News

Speaking before a pushy crowd at Comic-Con, Nic Cage tried to put an end to all of the speculation about the upcoming 'Ghost Rider' movie...

After much probing, Nic Cage gave his, seemingly, authoritative final word on the upcoming Movie - "This is Spirit of Vengeance. It's not a sequel". So that clears that up completely then? It is a Movie with the same Actor, playing the same role some years later - but it's not a sequel.
Personally, I think it stinks of the same waste matter that came out of the mouth of Avid Ari, regarding the fact that 'The Amazing Spiderman" is not a reboot. Despite having a completely new cast, and telling the origin story that has been covered by the earlier movies.
The rule appears to be simple. If it is a followup to a failed movie, then it is a reboot. If it is a followup to a successful series, then it is still a sequel. You CAN have your cake and eat it...

Sick of the dishonesty? Or should we wait and see whether they are actually any good? Let us know with your comments below!
