Interesting one this. Originally conceived as a Batman-centric graphic novel, HOLY TERROR was to tell the somewhat controversial tale of the Caped Crusader having to defend Gotham from an attack by Al Qaeda. It was planned for release on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Turns out DC were a little skittish on the idea. Who'd a thunk it!

Undeterred, seminal comic-book writer/artist Frank Miller (SIN CITY, 300, etc) pressed on, replacing Bats with a new creation - The Fixer.

Fan as I am of Miller's work - especially THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS - I'm a little wary of this to be honest, but I find the unique approach of releasing a trailer for a graphic novel fascinating. See what you think...

Can't expect any studio to be optioning that for a big-screen adaptation any time soon. Even Legendary Pictures themselves.

HOLY TERROR is due for release this September.

So, what do you guys think? Has Miller gone too far? Would you have liked to see HOLY TERROR, BATMAN! (yep, that's what it was originally called)? Let us know with your comments below!
