Movie News

With Felicity Jones joining Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 months ago, very little was known on her role in Webb’s Spidey sequel. Well, the guys over at BleedingCool have picked up on an interview with the actress, where she may have let the proverbial cat out of the proverbial bag.

Asked about whether she’s looking to forward to playing Black Cat in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, Jones nervously replied, "Um, well, errrrrrr, possibly. I don’t know, yeah. I kind of… it’s um, yeah, if that happens that would be wonderful. Yeah."

Whilst far from confirmation, the above comment would indicate that she may be playing the role of Felicia Hardy… who is also known as Black Cat. Black Cat is a top level cat burglar who has a bit of a crush on Bruce Wa… err, Peter Parker. Yes, for those unaware, the character is pretty much Marvel’s version of Catwoman.

Already a part of Webb’s sequel, Andrew Garfield returns as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. New additions to the series include Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Paul Giamatti as Rhino.

At present, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is on track for a 2nd May, 2014 release.
