Movie News: Check Out CAPTAIN AMERICA's New Costume in THE WINTER SOLDIER...

Movie News

We've had glimpses of Cap in his civilian duds, but this is the first time we've seen set pics of Steve Rogers in costume. And it appears now we've got yet another wardrobe change to look forward to. This will no doubt please those out there that had a bit of a problem with Cap's look in AVENGERS ASSEMBLED (courtesy of Agent Coulson!), but will also make a few fans nervous due to the radical nature of its redesign. The Marvel movies have so far shunned any desire to make their universe "gritty", or in any way realistic ala so many superhero movies before it, and we can only imagine that this is a step in that direction as it's a lot easier to swallow that a "real world" Cap would prefer this less garish version. He'll certainly get less abuse in the street! But we've got to admit, we miss the traditional look, and hope that it will at least make an appearance in the film (and if certain spoilery scenes we've heard about turn out to be true, it will). Check out Chris Evan's stunt double in action below and let us know what you think:

Aw Gawd it looks like the costume in those Reb Brown TV movies of the seventies.

dude, you do NOT want your ears sticking out the side of a crash helmet, no matter how super you are....., and what's wrong with some colour?

Could it be a "covert" Cap costume, perhaps? Just a wee splash of red and white would have been nice with the blue.
