Movie News: Director Accepts Pot of Gold to Put His Name to the LEPRECHAUN Reboot...

Remember that super exciting reboot of the LEPRECHAUN franchise we told you about over a year ago? Well the WWE/Lionsgate co-production has reportedly found itself a director in the form of Zach Lipovsky, best known for his work in the VFX world and for being a finalist on ON THE LOT, the 2007 Spielberg produced reality TV show (don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it, it never aired in the UK). Lipovsky has helmed various TV movies in the past (none of them worth mentioning here to be honest), but this will mark his big-screen debut. As previously reported, wrestler Hornswoggle (above, in the delightful promo image) will be taking over the lead role from the mighty Warwick Davis, who has portrayed the diminutive demon in six previous movies, the last being LEPRECHAUN: BACK 2 THA HOOD in 2003. Hopefully Lipovsky can return the franchise back to its-- actually, no, abandon that thought. It’s always been shit. Best we can do is hope for something bordering on watchable.
