Movie News: Tom Cruise Accepts Another MISSION - IMPOSSIBLE!

Tom Cruise has signed on to both produce and star in the fifth instalment of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise. As of yet there hasn’t been any confirmation as to who’ll be writing or directing, but an announcement is expected shortly. One rumoured prospect for the writing duties and director’s chair is Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS). This isn’t beyond the realms of possibility as he recently penned and directed the minor Cruise hit, JACK REACHER.

Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production company, who are financing the production, haven’t announced when they expect the film to hit the multiplexes, but I suspect the wait won’t be too long.
