Movie News: Luke Evans Is Eric Draven In THE CROW Reboot

With earlier speculation linking James McAvoy, Tom Hiddleston and Alexander Skarsgard to the role, it’s now been officially confirmed that Luke Evans will be taking on the lead role of Eric Draven in the upcoming reboot of THE CROW.

It turns out Evans was director F. Javier Gutierrez’s first choice all along, with the main issue being Evans’ schedule. To work around this problem, the film’s production has been pushed back to early 2014 to accommodate Evans.

Evans is best known for his roles in THE THREE MUSKETEERS and IMMORTALS, although will be seen this summer as the villain in FAST & FURIOUS 6. He’s also recently landed roles in DRACULA and THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG.
