Movie News

INSIDIOUS was easily one of the scariest movies in recent memory, so it's with great interest that we wait to see what director James Wan will deliver next - and this trailer for his forthcoming haunted house flick THE CONJURING doesn't disappoint. It's hard to believe that this is the same man who introduced the world to SAW and the hundreds of imitators that particular franchise spawned. Move over 'torture porn', good old fashioned scares are coming back into vogue at last! Let's all clap to that. Actually, scratch that, after watching this it's probably best if we all just nod in silent approval instead. You'll see what we mean in a few minutes...

You must have the Adobe Flash Player installed to view this player.

And here's the newly released poster. Based on 'True Case Files'?! Yikes.

THE CONJURING stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (pictured in header, admiring a creepy box) as the Warrens, a husband and wife team of paranormal investigators who come to the aid of Lily Taylor's family. We'll find out whether they're successful or not when the movie opens in cinemas this July.

Me and the lovely Mrs Dave watched this trailer last night and had to turn it off half way through because we got too scared. We have had to swear a solemn oath to one another that we won't do a "clap clap" when the other is on the toilet/upstairs alone/ever! As good as it looks, I might have to give this one a miss.
