Movie News

... And we couldn't be happier!

After months of speculation that saw names such as Joel Edgerton (THE THING), Jack Huston (SHROOMS), Jim Sturgess (CLOUD ATLAS), Lee Pace (LEE PACE), Eddie Redmayne (LES MISERABLES), Zachary Levi (CHUCK) and Joseph Gordon Levitt (LOOPER) bandied about regularly, Marvel Studios has reportedly found their Star Lord (aka Peter Quill). Step forward Burt Macklin F.B.I., sorry, Andy Dwyer, sorry... CHRIS PRATT! ('Sup, PARKS & REC fans! Apologies to everybody else.)

If you're not familiar with the actor, who is best known as the loveable, prat-falling duffuss in the aforementioned sitcom (but did also appear in ZERO DARK THIRTY recently) then 1) check out PARKS AND RECREATION immediately, it's hilarious, and 2) this is one of the most inspired pieces of casting since Marvel called in Robert Downey Jnr. Trust us.

We'll have more news as it develops, but in the meantime bone-up on when we'll be getting to see all of Marvel's movies below. There WILL be a test.
