Movie News

The movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed children’s novel, The Graveyard Book, has risen from development hell with Oscar-winning director Ron Howard reportedly at the helm. It was previously being developed by Henry Selick (A Nightmare Before Christmas) as a stop-motion feature, but production was halted some years ago. Howard plans to forgo animation in favour of live action. For those unfamiliar with Gaiman’s 2008 story, here’s the official synopsis:

Bod is an unusual boy who inhabits an unusual place - he's the only living resident of a graveyard. Raised from infancy by the ghosts, werewolves, and other cemetery denizens, Bod has learned the antiquated customs of his guardians' time as well as their timely ghostly teachings-like the ability to Fade. Can a boy raised by ghosts face the wonders and terrors of the worlds of both the living and the dead?

We'll have more news on the project as it develops. In the meantime, let's help Ron Howard out and have a think as to who Clint could play...
