Movie News: Tom Hardy Joins SPLINTER CELL

The movie adaptation of the Ubisoft game SPLINTER CELL has nabbed Tom Hardy to play its hero.

Hardy will take the role of Sam Fisher, a highly trained operative in a black-ops outfit that specialises in taking down terrorists. Having manfully struggled with acting in a mask in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, no doubt he’ll be able to bring an added to depth to a role that will probably see him in a full face respirator for much of the movie. The project is currently being developed in house by Ubisoft Motion Pictures before being touted round the studios.

Meanwhile Ubisoft/New Regency recently announced that Michael Fassbender is attached to it’s adaptation of ASSASSIN'S CREED (read that story HERE if you missed it).
