Movie News

Despite being in films like The Thing, Stargate and Vanilla Sky, Kurt Russell is almost a walking guilty pleasure and we haven’t seen nearly enough of him on screen in recent years. In fact why the hell has he not been in an Expendables movie yet?!?!

Now the square jawed one is set to return to the western genre with Bone Tomahawk which will also star Richard Jenkins, Peter Saarsgaard and Jennifer Carpenter. Russell will play a Sheriff who leads a mission to rescue some captives from savage cannibals. The project is described as “brutally Violent” and “character driven” and will be written and directed by S. Craig Zahler who also wrote upcoming films for Michael Mann and Park Chan-Wook. So not exactly a lightweight.

Expect Bone Tomahawk to start shooting sometime next year.
