Movie News

It seems like David Fincher’s animated version of Eric Powell’s THE GOON has been in development for nearly ten years now. Despite having voice actors cast with Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown no studio has been fully convinced to put their weight behind it and so the project languishes, ready to go but with no finance to pull the trigger.

So now like many a modern would be filmmaker, Fincher, Powell and Blur animation studios are turning to good old kickstarter to get the project going. They need $400,000 from us excited Goon and film fans to get the project made.

Thanks to recent productions and an increased media awareness this seems like it can’t possibly fail now. What’s also cool is that if you contribute then you get exclusive access to the production blog, a tour of Blur Studios and the chance to meet David Fincher.

Head over to Kickstarter should you wish to get this essential geek property into cinemas at long last.
