Hammer have announced their chosen director to helm the sequel to this year’s smash-hit THE WOMAN IN BLACK. Tom Harper is a British filmmaker best known (to Starburst readers at least) for his work on Channel 4’s MISFITS and the Beeb’s 2011 adaptation of THE BORROWERS.

The story will this time take four decades on from the events of the first, and tell the tale of The Woman’s stomping ground Eel Marsh house being used as a safe haven for young children evacuated due to WWII. Naturally this stirs a few emotions in the house’s original tenant…

THE WOMAN IN BLACK – ANGELS OF DEATH will be released in 2014. Expect more news as it develops…
