Movie News: It’s Official! Adele Providing SKYFALL Theme Song + Listen To Over A Minute Of It Right Now!

Okay, so we all saw this coming, but now it’s been made official via the 007 facebook page. Read on for the songstress’s statement, release date, a 90-second preview and cover art reveal…

"I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall; there’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I’ve never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure!”

Given that the music of any Bond movie is crucial to its longevity in the public consciousness, Adele was right to be cautious – those are some mighty shoes to fill! Has she been successful? Well we'll find out for sure come its debut on Adele’s official site HERE, but judging by this short preview over at PortalPop, it would appear the artist has captured the essence perfectly. Well I'm down with the kids and I dig Adele, she's happening! This is a well rad tune and I can't wait to slow dance down the Youth Club disco to this one. Looking forward to the Club Mix too so I can bust some moves and throw some shapes on the floor! For real.
