Movie News: Barry Sonnenfeld May Be Shepherding LORE To The Big Screen...

Back in April we brought you news (here) that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had signed on to star in Warner Bros' latest comic book acquisition, LORE, from IDW. Even then the project was being touted as “MEN IN BLACK with mythological creatures”, so the news that MIB trilogy helmer Barry Sonnenfeld is now in talks to hop on board doesn’t come as much of a surprise. How about thinking outside of the box once in a while, Hollywood? Mind you, he did net them over a billion dollars in the box office with that series, so he's naturally in their good books. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more.

Synopsis:

'In times past, the world was full of mythical creatures, creatures long since banished and held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the generational line of Shepherds is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from every quarter. And the creatures are coming back...'

We'll speculative a 2014 release date at the earliest for the movie version, but if you like the sound of LORE you can pre-order the hardcover 'Complete Edition', out this November, below...
